SESAME STREET TUESDAY
A frequently-watched show in our apartment is the Discovery Channel's "How It's Made," where they walk you step-by-step through the creation of doorknobs, snowmobiles, or curling stones (it is a Canadian production after all). The style of the show is straightforward and antiseptic, and the narrator is unsentimental and not personally invested. That's why when I want to know how things are made I turn to America's Favorite Game Show Host, Guy Smiley, and his melodramatic retrospective show, "Here is Your Life."
I think RnBeautyJazzflower, a commenter on the YouTube page, sums it up pretty well: "I'm such a wuss, I always get so emotional when I watch this. lol there just ordinary everyday items, but then we came to discover they had a life!!!"

Jeez, I'll never be able to eat bread again without feeling guilty for separating the bread I'm eating from its best friend. Thanks a lot!
Wow. Your clips are such a flashback. It just reminds me of why I like Sesame Street and the Muppets so much.
I remember loving this skit...and all the other ones like it. But I have to say, it's a little creepy thinking about cutting up and eating a loaf of bread with a face...and that when made into sandwiches and french toast still talks... :)
