Yesterday in the middle of my voice class, one of my students raised her hand, said she wasn't feeling well, and asked if she could go to the bathroom. The class all turned their heads and watched her make her exit. As soon as the door swung closed behind her, the whole class
leapt out of their seats and made a bee line for the bottle of hand sanitizer in the corner. I them say such things as "I think she may have coughed near me!" and "I nearly rubbed up against her backpack!" I guess that means the hygiene campaigns and media frenzy surrounding H1N1 are working.
P.S. - Turns out the student just had a headache. She was fine.

Well, then, Regina fans in rows K and M on the right side from the Michigan Theater last night should be very worried. I really did have a cold; I went through half a packet of Kleenex tissues.
That's still better than the girl wandering around the law school coughing up a lung and talking about how the doctor thinks she has pneumonia but they're still waiting for the test results. Ick!
I think I caught that headache from her when I touched her backpack!!!
That picture is hilarious! I'm not sure if I am safer now that I'm not teaching small, germ-infested children, or if I'm just as bad (if not worse) off being around large, germ-infested college students. I keep my hand sanitizer ready either way.
